Academic Initiatives
Academic Initiatives strives to better integrate campus departments and faculty with the work of the Division of Student Affairs to create a bridge between academics and student support services.
Admissions
Admissions coordinates all aspects of undergraduate admission, including year-round outreach, comprehensive application review, and the processing of credit for any student (new and continuing) who completes transferable coursework.
Alcohol & Drug Program
The Student Health Alcohol and Drug Program (ADP) provides counseling, education, prevention, and recovery services that meet students where they are, without judgment.
Alumni Association
The UCSB Alumni Association offers a variety of services and programs for students.
Associated Students
Associated Students (AS) is UCSB's officially recognized undergraduate student government, which operates both as a non-profit organization and a campus department and includes dozens of entities (boards, committees, commissions, and units).
Billing Accounts Receivable Collection
BARC is a centralized system that oversees campus charges (tuition, student fees, on-campus housing and meal plans, Student Health charges, etc.) that students are required to pay.
Black Student Development
Office of Black Student Development (OBSD) advances, in response to a strong culture of Black student activism, the experiences of all Black students, advocates for their needs, and fosters their personal and academic achievement through graduation and beyond.
Campus Advocacy, Resources, and Education
CARE: Campus Advocacy, Resources, and Education provides professional, confidential advocacy crisis intervention, and support to students, staff, and faculty impacted by sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, and stalking.
Campus Learning Assistance Services
Campus Learning Assistance Services (CLAS) offers group tutorials, drop-in help sessions, learning skills workshops, writing labs, and tutoring services to help students succeed in their classes. All services are free of charge.
Career Services
Career Services educates and empowers all students and recent graduates to prepare for and pursue success.
Children's Center
The Orfalea Family Children's Center provides quality child care services for students, serving children three months to seven years of age. Tuition subsidies are available to eligible student families.
Counseling & Psychological Services
Licensed psychologists and stress peer advisors provide students with one-to-one personal and confidential support at CAPS.
Disabled Students Program
The Disabled Students Program (DSP) assists permanently and temporarily disabled students in their success at UC Santa Barbara. DSP serves as the liaison regarding issues and regulations related to students with disabilities.
Division of Student Affairs
The Division of Student Affairs provides services and programs that address the needs of a diverse student body, promote physical and emotional well-being, and encourage intellectual and personal development.
Early Academic Outreach Program
Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) is a pre-college academic preparation program that increases college readiness and financial aid awareness among students and parents from select middle and high schools in Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Kern Counties.
Early Childhood Care & Education Services
Early Childhood Care and Education Services provides accredited and licensed childcare for student, staff, and faculty families with young children (aged 3 months to 5 years) at the Children's Centers located on the University campus.
Education Abroad Program
The UCSB Education Abroad Program (UCSB EAP) provides students with the opportunity to study abroad during their time at UCSB, and encourages them to take advantage of the programs offered through the University of California Education Abroad Program (UCEAP).
Educational Opportunity Program
The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) encourages student involvement on campus and a sense of community and empowerment among students. The program provides academic support services, social programming, cultural centers, and staff mentoring to students at UCSB through graduation.
Financial Aid and Scholarships
Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships assists UCSB students and their families with student financial aid, including scholarships, grants, loans, work-study, and Veterans' benefits.
Graduate Students Association
Graduate Students Association (GSA) is UCSB's officially recognized graduate student government.
Health & Wellness
Health & Wellness is focused on helping students make positive and proactive choices to balance their physical, mental, and social life.
International Students
The Office of International Students & Scholars (OISS) provides services and programs to meet the cross-cultural and immigration needs of international students and scholars.
Multicultural Center
The Multicultural Center (MCC) strives to promote a sense of belonging among student sof color, international students, and gay, lesbian, and bisexual students.
Non-Traditional Student Resource Center
The Non-Traditional Student Resource Center provides resources, programs, and a community space for students whose life experiences differ from traditional students.
Office of International Students and Scholars
Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) provides immigration support for the UCSB community, advising for international students, and cultural programming.Ombuds
The Office of the Ombuds provides confidential and informal conflict management services to the entire UCSB community - students, staff, faculty, and parents.
Opening New Doors to Accelerating Success Student Center
Opening New Doors to Accelerating Success Student Center (ONDAS) promotes the success and retention of first-generation college students with an emphasis on the first year transition and underrepresented student experience.
Orientation Programs & Parent Services
The Orientation Programs and Parent Services office conducts new student and parent orientation each summer. New student orientation is a valuable opportunity for students to begin the transition to college and learn more about university policies, processes and services.
Police Department
UCSB Police Officers have statewide jurisdiction; are duly sworn under section 830.2 of the California Penal Code; and are trained under state guidelines and mandates.
Recreation
Recreation promotes an active, balanced lifestyle among students, staff, and faculty that contributes to the development of the social, emotional, and physical skills essential to long-term health and well-being.
Registrar
The Registrar's Office maintains students' academic and enrollment records. Additionally, GOLD (Gaucho Online Data) is housed in the Registrar's Office.
Resource Center for Sexual & Gender Diversity
The Resource Center for Sexual & Gender Diversity serves the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, questioning and ally community and provides LGBTIQQ educational programming, social activities, advocacy, resources, and consultation with the goal of enhancing safety,

Shoreline is the campus engagement platform where students can find student organizations, campus events, and more.
Storke Student Publications
Storke Student Publications includes the Daily Nexus, a student-run newspaper, and the Senior Book, the official yearbook of the graduating class.

Student Affairs Grants & Development coordinates charitable giving to UCSB Student Affairs and its numerous member departments and programs, including student scholarships.

Women's Center
The Women's Center provides advocacy, resources, and education on gender issues through events, rape and sexual harassment education programs, support groups, an art gallery, library, meeting rooms, and re-entry/non-traditional student services.
