The Orientation Programs and Parent Services office conducts new student and parent orientation each summer. New student orientation is a valuable opportunity for students to begin the transition to college and learn more about university policies, processes and services. Orientation sessions are available for both freshmen and transfer students.

Attending parent orientation with your student is a great way to learn more about all that UCSB has to offer your son or daughter. In addition to academic, social, and cultural opportunities for your student, you will also learn more about your role as a Gaucho Parent and how to best support your student during the transition to college life and throughout his or her college career.
